I was charged membership even though I cancelled it last year. Since December 2020 I was charged every month that I realized it recently. After all, I gave a call about the situation and the company promised to give some amount of money back and delete all my information, it didnt go through. I have not received any money yet or no answers to my emails. I am considering to solve the problem with my attorney. Keep in mind, I NEVER attended a class, YET Shaw Academy continued to send me lessons which I NEVER attended. The company offered to give me 6-months of free courses, BUT I do NOT want to be affiliated with a company that I BELIEVE is a SCAM. There is NO contact name...

I signed up for a 4-week FREE trial course, and the following day, Shaw Academy charged my card $59.99. I was VERY upset that Shaw Academy charged my card prematurely/WELL BEFORE the trial expiration date, so I sent Shaw Academy's support team an email to request a refund AND I requested that Shaw Academy cancel/close/terminate the 4-week free trial course AND my account.

Shaw Academy DID refund the $59.99, however AFTER the trial period expired, Shaw Academy charged me $59.99 AGAIN, AFTER I CLEARLY sent them an email to cancel/close/terminate my account WELL BEFORE the trial expiration date. I provided the Shaw Academy support team, with documentation, (sign-up receipt with a trial expiration date, bank debit copies, and copy of email cancellation request - see attached) to CONFIRM/PROVE my request to cancel the account WELL BEFORE the trial expiration date, however, Shaw Academy is saying that I did NOT cancel with the trial period, which is a LIE. I provided the necessary documents to CONFIRM my cancellation. I NEED help.

I am VERY upset that the company is/has ignored my requests, and is ignoring the documents that I sent CONFIRMING the account was canceled WELL BEFORE the trial expiration date. This is a VERY unfair, and HORRIBLE business practice, and I expect to have my account refunded $59.99 immediately!

The same thing happened to me, they have a long process for cancellation which I did follow. They said it was cancelled yet my card was still charged.

It has been 11 days and I have yet to receive a refund. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS, IT IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had to threaten to sue them for more than what they took inorder for me to get my money they tried giving me two different reasons y I couldn’t get refunded. 1st reason was that i had started the second module*I didn’t even start the 1st one* 2nd reason was that it was over 4 weeks that I applied June 11and supposedly June 21 made it 4 weeks

I did experience similar loss with this organization. I cancelled the subscription through portal and couldn’t call the helpdesk as they are supported only during business hours.

Terms and policy dint specify this point atall. Now they refuse to refund 69.9$ that they charged even without notifying customer.

Even after multiple follow-ups for almost a month and half now, they are not ready to listen to voice of customer. Please suggest how to get my money back.

Shaw Academy are scammers & they need to be stopped. They have unlawfully taken €94.98 from my credit card.

They even took money after they confirmed my membership was cancelled & my credit card details were erased from their database. I’m trying for the last 6 weeks to get a refund.

Their staff are unhelpful & incompetent. Please STAY AWAY from Shaw Academy.

Refund on subscription

You have renewed my membership without my consent. Ive tried calling several times but there is no one answering the phone. I have arranged for you to call me at a certain time but you try to call a few hours after when Im not available. I want to be contacted at 11:30 tomorrow 04/02/22 to get my money back. I want a refund of £199.95 for the subscription that I never wanted. If you cannot contact me, just send the money back anyway. I dont need to speak to you directly, you just need to refund me and cancel this membership.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with full refund. The date for resolution is showing as today but it wasn't long after I made the complaints that it was resolved and I received my refund..

Just a quick update to say that they did issue the refund and my account is cancelled. Kept the confirmation email in case of any future issues.

Apparently I signed up for a free trial well over a year ago. Never signed in, the account was canceled. But since they don't allow you to remove your billing info, last week they randomly reactivated my account and stole 69.99 from my bank account. Never received any emails or billing notices, the only emails I received were recently starting in May when they emailed to ask if I wanted a subscription or over priced certificate. I've been posting on their Facebook page excessively and they replied to all asking me to PM them but, to date, they have not even looked at my messages.

Cancellation and refund

I'm looking for a cancelation and refund because my bank card is being used by someone else that I have no clue who it is but everything I call, their phone is busy no matter what time of day it is. US number has been disconnected. A total of 350.00 has been taken out of my account and they do not answer emails either.

After winning on a mcds monopoly i redeemed my code but in order to do that you need to put your card info in Order to redeem it. I cancelled my membership completely and here he we are 4 months later just took 140$ from my account.

I was under the impression that the class that I signed up for was free, and then after a month I started having charges of $69.99... for three months street. I called and cancelled the classes, that I never took because I changed my mind. They said they went ahead and cancelled it for me.... 6 months later I get that charge taken from my account again.... I tried calling the academy again but the number said it wasn't available. So I had to go through my bank and have it disputed. I would not recommend Shaw academy to anyone.

After a week of just receiving auto reply emails, I finally was contacted by customer representative that it only repeated the same answer over and over again without taking in consideration my situation. They failed to email me saying my free trial was ending, they also failed to send the invoice emails to the charges done to my credit card. They flat out denied the option for a refund of $210, but instead they offered me a full year free membership, which makes no sense that they can offer me something that has a value of $850 but refuse to give me a $210 refund. I'll never deal with this company again, and I recommend everybody to stay away from them, they are negligent and have no consideration for the customer. And on top of that their courses are really bad.

I got offered 8 classes for 4 weeks in Crystal healing for free so I thought I would try, did 1 class and didn't like it cause you had no course materials so I didn't do the rest of the classes and canceled my account and in April and in May there were charges on my account from them. 3 in may and 1 in April. When I go to email them, I get no response back. I tried to call, and it says that my call can't be completed as dialed. This is a scam if I have ever seen one.
